Hummersea Curriculum
Children, their families and staff are very passionate about our school offer of the ‘Hummersea Curriculum’ and have enjoyed many aspects of this addition to our whole school curriculum to enhance children’s experiences and skills over the years.
(See below for more information and a video on our Hummersea Curriculum activities)
We are aware that a variance in terms of employability, progression to further education, wider life experience and academic attainment exist for those pupils with socio economic disadvantage. As an inclusive, ambitious school that is passionately committed to giving our pupils the best start in life regardless of their background or need we provide additional activities which aim to:
- provide strong opportunities for pupils’ personal development and health wellbeing.
- develop life and social skills through the provision of wider life experiences and a range of extracurricular activities.
- support children to experience activities which they may otherwise not have the opportunity and broaden their horizons.
